Boulder Pipe Opal   Origin Winton, Queensland Australia Opal Type Solid Opal Type 3 (Matrix  Opal) Approximate Size 1  5/8" x 5/8" x 3/16" (41mm x 16mm x 6mm) Colour & Description Boulder pipe opal. Brown ironstone matrix with a seam (pipe)  of precious opal that has infilled a cavity in the ironstone. The opal is common blue opal at the narrow end and as the seam widens it turn to sparkly precious opal with a pink tinge and a good play of colour.
