Large Boulder Opal   Origin Winton, Queensland Australia Opal Type Solid Opal Type 2  (Boulder Opal) Approximate Size 2  5/16" x 1  3/16" x 5/16" (59mm x 30mm x 9mm) Colour & Description A seam of opal on a natural ironstone backing.  Gorgeous blue and green opal colours. There are a couple of very fine fractures in the opal layer that do not extend into the stone backing and do not affect the stability of the stone. This stone is quite large and would make a spectacular pendant or even a specimen for the opal collector because of its unusual pattern. Transparency Opaque Cut Freeform Face Surface Fairly flat.
